The Dr. John P. Rier, Jr. Biology Student Travel
Fund was established in memory of the late Dr. Rier
to encourage undergraduate and graduate students to
share their research results and network with
biologists and emerging biologists. It
provides transportation reimbursement for students
to travel to scientific meetings to present their
research findings, attend and participate in
research institutes and seminars and/or engage in
individual research projects under a
specialist. It does not include
registration fees or room and board. |
The fund represents the interest and concern for
educational enrichment and biology career development of
students that was held by the late Dr. Rier.
